Shneersohn, Joseph Isaac
(d. 1952)
   Russian Hasidic leader. He was imprisoned for his religious activities, and after his release in 1927 moved to Otwock in Poland. Later he emigrated to the US and settled in New York, where he founded yeshivot and schools in the Habad tradition.
